You might soon be carrying a national digital ID along with your MyKad!

The Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo says the digital ID is meant as a way to verify identity, so you won't have to email photos of your MyKad when applying for something online.

However, it would not be compulsory for all M'sians. 
 

Bc welcomes the Cabinet's decision to abolish the death penalty

The Bar Council has welcomed the Cabinet's decision to abolish the death penalty, and has offered to help it realise the move. 

But, an NST online poll has showed that M'sians want the death penalty to stay! With 82 percent of respondents opposing the move to axe the death penalty. 

Respondents were concerned that the abolition will lead to more crime.

A Penang assemblyman has lodged a police report against a viral WhatsApp message, claiming needles have been found in bananas sold in several markets in the state.
