Malaysians expect year-end bonuses and increments

Dec 12, 2016

A new survey says Malaysian professionals have the highest expectations in the world when it comes to year-end bonuses and salary increments.

According to the latest Randstad Workmonitor report, 77 percent of Malaysian professionals expect a bonus, while 74 percent anticipate a pay hike,.

This is despite the current gloomy outlook for the global economy.

Malaysia's figures are far higher than the global average, with less than 50 percent expecting a bonus and 53 percent anticipating a salary increment.

Over in Singapore, the percentages are 68 percent for bonuses and 58 percent for pay raises.
