5 nabbed over major forex scam

Some 23,000 people have lost about RM80 million to a forex investment scam.
5 local men and a woman have been arrested and remanded for 21 days in connection to the company running the scam, named Venus FX.
The company would ask their victims to make minimum investments of between 2,000 to 40,000 ringgit, with profit payments to be made on a daily basis.
The police started investigations, after it received 408 reports on the scam by victims who did not receive their payments.
