Bomba: all houses must have removable grilles

The Fire and Rescue Dept may come down hard on developers and homeowners who refuse to install easy-to-open grilles at their premises. 

It says this may include revising regulations, so that it can take action against those who refuse to do so. 

The dept has been campaigning for houses to be equipped with door and window grilles that can be easily opened from the inside, during an emergency like a fire.

This, after 2 recent house fires in Selangor, in which the occupants died because they were unable to escape in time.
