IGP defends Kim Jong Nam secrecy
Mar 11, 2017
The IGP has defended his decision not to reveal how police determined that the North Korean man killed at KLIA2, was indeed Kim Jong Nam.
Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar says he cannot explain how the identification was conducted, so as to protect the safety of witnesses.
Meanwhile, the Communications and Multimedia Ministry is urging social media users not to spread false news about the ongoing political spat between Malaysia and North Korea.
It says such rumours will only add fuel to the fire, and could cause anxiety among Malaysians.
