IGP: Tattoos cannot be used as evidence to ID VX victim

Mar 07, 2017

Tattoos or patterns on the body cannot be used as evidence to ID the North Korean man who died at KLIA 2 last month.

The IGP slammed the suggestion made by a local newspaper, but refused to comment further.

The victim, who was carrying a passport with the name Kim Chol, is widely reported to be Kim Jong-nam, the half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

But M'sian police have been unwilling to confirm the reports as the next-of-kin of the victim have not turned up to ID the body yet.

Separately, North Korea's ambassador to M'sia has left the country, following an expulsion order on him for insulting M"sia's investigation into the North Korean's death.
