Girl laid to rest in Penang

The 14-year-old girl, who died days after trying to hang herself after being accused of stealing her teacher's phone, has been laid to rest in Penang.

Hundreds of relatives and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the Form 2 student, prior to the burial.

Meanwhile, the police have rubbished claims that the teacher's handphone has been recovered.

Reports going viral on social media claimed the missing phone had been found at a food stall.
