FMM wants minimum wage to be maintained
Jan 26, 2018
The Malaysian Manufacturers Federation wants the current 1 thousand ringgit minimum wage to be maintained in the medium term.
This is because the industry is facing a hefty increase in the cost of doing business.
This, after several parties proposed to raise the minimum wage by 500 ringgit for Peninsular Malaysia.
FMM says minimum wage must commensurate with productivity gain as a high basic wage affects overtime, increments and bonus payments.
