1,200 flood victims left in Pahang

Jan 07, 2018

7 states have been given 5-star ratings on their efficiency and effectiveness in managing floods.

They are namely Sabah, Johor, Pahang, Terengganu, Sarawak, Perak and Selangor.

Government officials say Kelantan received a 4-star rating because the state has a bit of a problem with its temporary evacuation centres.

They add that  Penang has not been rated, as the flood management process there is still in progress.

This, as some 1,200 people are left at evacuation centers in Pahang, compared to 4,000 evacuees yesterday.

Another 1,700 people are being housed at flood relief centers in Terengganu, Johor, Perak and Sabah.
