Malaysian Competition Commission in favour of imposing petrol ceiling price

The Malaysian Competition Commission is in favour of the government's proposal to impose a ceiling price for petrol.

The commission says the move will ultimately benefit the people, as it will encourage retailers to lower their prices and compete.

However, the Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia is against a ceiling price, claiming it could lead to unhealthy business activities.

The Association is due to hold talks with the government soon over the matter.
