2 Malaysians working with UN leave North Korea

Mar 09, 2017

The two Malaysians working with the UN's World Food Program in North Korea, have left Pyongyang.

Both the Prime Minister and the World Food Program have confirmed, the two have now safely arrived in Beijing, although its not immediately known if they'll be heading straight home.

According to the UN agency, the two staff members are international civil servants, and not representatives of their national government.

Their exit comes despite North Korea and Malaysia barring each other's citizens from leaving the country.
