Home Ministry dismisses rumours of new law to monitor private phone calls

The Home Ministry has dismissed rumours, alleging that the government has implemented a new law allowing it to record and monitor private phone calls and social media posts.
The rumour also claimed that all electronic communication devices are now connected to the ministry's surveillance system.
The ministry confirmed there is no such law, adding that the viral rumour was recycled from a previous hoax.
