NUTP against allowing electronic gadgets in classrooms

Apr 20, 2017

The NUTP is against the proposal to allow school students to bring electronic gadgets like smartphones into the classroom.

It told the MalayMail that even though the move is to help enhance the teaching process, it could lead to more disciplinary problems like stealing and bullying.

It adds that those who can't afford these gadgets, could also feel inferior to the rest.

The NUTP has instead suggested that school computer labs be upgraded, so that all students have a fair chance at learning through the use of technology.
