10,000 AWAS offences recorded in first 3 days
Apr 19, 2017
The Transport Ministry says over 10,000 traffic offences were recorded in the first 3 days since the Automated Awareness Safety System or AWAS was implemented.
There were slightly more offenders caught for beating the red light, compared to those who were nabbed for speeding.
AWAS officially came into effect on Saturday, after a 2-week trial period.
