Public warned not to visit illegal dental practitioners offering cosmetic services

May 04, 2017

The Health Ministry is warning people not to visit illegal dental practioners offering cosmetic services like fixing braces and dental veneers.

It has been receiving numerous complaints about consumers who've experienced complications or side effects from using these illegal services.

The Ministry is also urging those with information on these practioners, to lodge a report with the authorities.

Separately, the Ministry says those offering Ozone Therapy treatment have to submit scientific evidence of its health benefits, if they want the Ministry's approval to operate.

This, after authorities issued a July 1st deadline for businesses offering the therapy to shut down or face legal action.

The Ministry says it imposed the ban, because Ozone Therapy offers no known health benefits.
