Health Ministry urged to review medical practitioners' working hours
Jun 01, 2017
The Malaysian Medical Association wants the Health Ministry to review the working hours of medical practitioners, especially those who work long hours and perform the night shift.
It says the ministry must take proactive measures to enhance the safety of these staff, including by identifying those who are suffering from chronic fatigue.
This, after the Health Ministry said that healthcare workers were involved in 554 road accidents between 2014 and last year, 69 of whom were returning home after working long hours.
