May 16, 2017
The Immigration Department has denied that it's not cooperating with an MACC investigation into alleged corruption by one of its officers.
The Department's director-general clarified that they have been working with the MACC headquarters over the matter.
This, after the Kedah MACC director claimed that his men had yet to receive any report or information from the Department, regarding the alleged corrupt practices of an Immigration officer involving bribes of nearly 28 million ringgit.
Separately, the MACC has arrested three more Pusat Zakat officers in Penang, as part of its ongoing probe into alleged graft and misappropriation of zakat funds.
