Hillary Clinton declared the world's choice for US president
Nov 08, 2016
Hillary Clinton has been declared the world's choice for US president, in the first ever poll that surveyed more than 100,000 people from 130 countries.
The Global Vote survey requested respondents to only consider the candidate's international policies.
Clinton received over half the votes at 52 percent, while the candidate with the lowest approval ratings in the US - Jill Stein -came in second with 19 percent.
Controversial candidate, Donald Trump is 3rd with 14 percent of the votes, while some respondents have deemed him a threat to international prosperity and stability.
Early voting has already begun in the US, ahead of the presidential elections tonight, with reportedly a record number of Hispanics and African Americans turning up to vote.
Experts expect the minorities to be voting for Clinton, who leads approval ratings by about 4 percent, over Trump who's been repeatedly slammed for being allegedly racist.
The lone American astronaut, Shane Kimbrough, has also cast his ballot from space.
