MTUC wants the rejection of a 6-hour work day to be reconsidered
Oct 12, 2016
MTUC wants the government to reconsider its decision to reject a proposal to implement a 6-hour work day.
It will meet with the Human Resources Ministry soon to rediscuss the proposal.
MTUC says research shows shorter workdays can cut the number of sick days and improve productivity.
The 6-hour workday is implemented in Europe, Vietnam and Thailand.
