Met Department lifts weather warning for several states

Dec 10, 2017

The Met Department has lifted its weather warning for several states, which had forecast continuous heavy rain till today.

The areas involved were Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin in Pahang, Mersing and Kota Tinggi in Johor, as well as several areas in Sarawak.

This, as all remaining flood evacuation centres in Kemaman, Terengganu and Raub, Pahang were closed last night.

However, the Crown Prince of Pahang has urged those living in low-lying areas along river banks to take precautionary measures, as a prolonged rainy spell has been forecast after this coming Saturday.
