Police standby advise to cancel beer festival in KL

Oct 04, 2017

Bukit Aman says it advised that a beer festival in KL should be cancelled, based on a real plan to sabotage the event.

The IGP says the advice was given due to a real militant threat and not just a perceived threat, as speculated by some parties.

He adds that the festival was allowed to be held in previous years, as there was no information on such a threat.

He says the police will stand by their decision for the event this year, as they will not compromise on the safety of the people.
