MACC investigates 60 companies in Sabah
Oct 06, 2017
The MACC is investigating some 60 companies that were awarded projects for the supply of water, electricity and roads in rural Sabah.
This is part of its investigations into how 1.5 billion ringgit was siphoned from funds allocated for rural projects in Sabah over the past 6 years.
The MACC adds that it started the probe, after receiving information from whistleblowers, similar to last year's "Sabah Watergate" scandal.
In that case, 3 people were accused of laundering more than 60 million ringgit and owning luxury goods from their illegal activities.
