Health authorities intensify mumps awareness in Putrajaya schools.

Oct 07, 2017

Health authorities in Putrajaya, have intensified health education to all students and teachers, following a recent cluster of mumps cases in schools there.

The KL and Putrajaya Health Department director also denied claims the mumps cases were related to pilgrims who had just returned from performing the haj.

The Department says the cases were due to patients who do not have the immunity to prevent the viral infection.

So far, the total number of mumps cases among school kids in Putrajaya stands at 17.
