IGP classifies tahfiz school tragedy as sudden death

The IGP has classified the 23 fatalities in the religious school fire in Keramat, as sudden death.

This, as authorities wait for evidence or leads by the forensic teams.

Meanwhile, the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia says the government should regulate safety and security aspects in all educational institutions, including religious schools.

All 23 victims have already been identified through DNA testing. Their remains are being laid to rest this evening.
