Malaysia has picked up its first gold medal in badminton at the KL SEA Games.

This, after Goh Jin Wei won the women's singles final, beating compatriot Soniia Cheah.

Malaysia also picked up the silver and bronze medals in the mixed doubles event.

Elsewhere, Fatehah Mustapa broke the national record en route to winning gold in the women's cycling time trial.

The national contingent also picked up gold medals in speed skating, Muay Thai, sailing, silat, and water skiing.

This takes our tally so far to 130 gold, 85 silver and 80 bronze.
