Prime Minister launches Women's Innovation Academy
Aug 26, 2017
The government wants to increase women's participation in the workforce, with the launch of the Women's Innovation Academy under the PM's Department.
Currently, women account for only 16.8% of directors positions in the top 100 listed companies in Malaysia.
PM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who will chair the Academy's advisory council, says it is serious in naming and shaming public listed companies with no women on their boards.
