Sarawak set to review measures to curb spread of rabies
Jul 25, 2017
Sarawak's state disaster management commitee will review the existing measures to curb the spread of rabies in the state.
It says its working with other relevant agencies to plan how to move forward, with the main objective being to contain and eliminate rabies as soon as possible.
This, as the Health Ministry says Malaysia will only be declared free of rabies, if there've been no new human or animal infections for two years.
It adds that as of today, there've been no new human infections reported anywhere in the country, following the recent death of five infected patients in Serian, Sarawak.
