Six Fire and Rescue personnel drown while trying to rescue teenager from mining pool

In a routine rescue mission gone wrong, six Bomba divers drowned while trying to rescue a teenager from a disused mining pool in Puchong late last night.

As per SOP, the certified divers were wearing complete diving equipment and tied to a single rope when they went in for the rescue, but were caught by strong currents.

It took their colleagues 30 minutes to rescue them, but it was too late.

The 17-year-old boy they were trying to find is still missing, and another team will resume the search today.

About 50 of Rosmah's supporters gathered in front of the MACC's headquarter's last night to show their support, while her daughter, Nooryana Najwa Najib went on Instagram to slam the MACC for "going too far" with her mother's arrest.
