News Wrap-up: Zahid has left the MACC building...

Oct 10, 2018

MACC: No need to probe whoever leaked info on Zahid

The MACC says there isn't a need to investigate who among its officers leaked info about Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi being called for questioning.

The agency says once it served the notice to the UMNO President, the document became public knowledge.

That means anyone could have leaked it to the press.

This, after UMNO supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam claimed that he had friends inside the MACC, who had informed him on the matter.

Meanwhile, some public figures had called for a probe, because of concerns that there may be a mole within the anti-graft commission.

Zahid was called in for the third time over allegations of misuse of funds at a welfare foundation managed by his family.
