And the Equanimity goes to...

Oct 19, 2018

Zahid claims trial

UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has pleaded not guilty to 45 charges under anti-graft and money laundering laws.

Some of the charges were related to funds belonging to a charity run by his family, while others involved him receiving bribes as inducement to help certain companies obtain contracts.

The former Deputy Prime Minister was granted a bail of RM2 mil, to be paid in two installments.

His ex-boss, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak also turned up in court today, saying he wanted to give Zahid his moral support.

Zahid is the second UMNO leader after Najib, to be charged since GE14.
