Prepaid reloads are not affected by the SST!
The Finance Minister has denied that mobile phone users were getting less value than what they paid for, saying it's a technical issue.
Lim Guan Eng says he'll be meeting telcos this week to sort out the matter.
He also clarified that air transport service in Sabah and Sarawak is exempted from the SST.
Separately, Guan Eng has called for calm, amid an uproar over some nasi kandar restaurants charging the 6% SST.
Lim Guan Eng explains the eateries are only abiding by the law, as restaurants that make more than RM1.5 million per year are required to charge SST.
He also says changes might be made to the list of items affected by the tax by year's end, as the government takes in feedback from Malaysians.
