Aug 22, 2018

Tan Sri Musa Aman returns to Malaysia!

Tan Sri Musa Aman’s spokesman says the former Sabah CM is ready to address all outstanding issues despite health concerns.

Musa has arrived in Malaysia from the UK and is currently being examined and monitored in a hospital in KL.

He has been given until September 11th to be sworn in as Sungai Sibuga assemblyman or his seat will be declared vacant.

Musa is also under investigation by both the police and MACC for criminal intimidation and abuse of power.

Government identifies 12 drowning hotspot locations nationwide

The government via the Fire and Rescue Department has identified 12 hotspot locations nationwide as high-risk areas for drowning incidents.

As such, the department has been ordered to be on standby mode at all the hotspots during the ongoing school holidays.

Meanwhile, two teenagers, who were having a picnic with their friends, have been found drowned at a waterfall in Dungun, Terengganu.

It was learnt that one of the victims had jumped into the pool and was seen struggling in the water before the other dived in to help but both disappeared in the water shortly after.

Contingency plans in place for airspace closure next week

The Transport Minister has confirmed that the authorities have contingency plans, including flight diversions, for the air space closure at KLIA and KLIA 2 next week.

The airspace will be closed from 9am to 10.30am over five days from August 27th to 31st as part of preparations for the National Day celebration flypast.

Nearly 500 flights will be affected by the closure.
