The latest on Jho Low and Altantuya

Jul 19, 2018

The IGP says he cannot confirm reports that Jho Low has been arrested in China.

Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun says he has no info on the matter.

Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad also said he's unaware of any such arrest, but welcomed the news if it's true.

A Hong Kong radio station recently reported that Low was captured in China, and Beijing would announce the arrest during Tun Dr Mahathir’s visit there next month.

Separately, Tan Sri Fuzi says police have finished reinvestigating the 2006 murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The investigation papers have already been sent to the Attorney-General's Chambers, and cops are now waiting for further instructions.

The case was reopened last month, after Altantuya’s father lodged a police report seeking a fresh probe.
