Did Najib ask the CIA for support before GE14?

Jul 26, 2018

Finance Minister, Lim Guan Eng has called for an investigation into a government letter to America's CIA, that purportedly sought support for Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak just days before GE14.

Lim says it's necessary as it concerns Malaysia’s sovereignty.

The letter was reportedly sent by a senior government official in the Prime Minister’s Department during the Najib administration.

It asked for the CIA's support for Najib, even if he were to win by a small majority.

The association of former security service members, Patriot also issued a similar call.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Najib has rubbished claims that he had planned to declare a state of emergency after realising that Barisan Nasional lost GE14.
