Malaysia drops one place in ease of doing business rankings

Nov 01, 2017

Malaysia has dropped one place to number 24 in the World Bank's annual ease of doing business rankings.

The report, which ranked 190 countries, takes into account the processes that an entrepreneur has to go through, to start and run a business.

However, Malaysia's drop comes despite an increase in its overall score, compared to last year.

The report also noted Malaysia's reforms in certain areas of doing business, such as strengthening access to credit, protecting minority investors, and improving trade accross borders.
