Teachers and parents need to monitor militant threat ideology

Oct 27, 2017

Teachers and parents have been urged to pay closer attention to the spread of militant ideology among school students.

Bukit Aman's Counter Terrorism Division says a lack of awareness on such threats at school level, has led to educators not being able to take proactive action.

It also says if educators and parents do not monitor the issue, it will be difficult to nip the problem in the bud.

It adds that school students can be easily influenced by militant ideology, because of their constant use of social media.
