States up north advised to prepare for second wave of floods

Residents in the northern states are advised to be prepared in the event of a second wave of floods, as the monsoon season was not over yet.

The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry says the floods can still occur and the monsoon season will only be completed by the end of November.

Mw, the MET Department has forecast thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Penang and several districts of Perak, including Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.
