Government to assist Malaysians if oil prices get too high

The Government will take measures to assist Malaysians if oil prices get too high.

The Finance Ministry says this is to ensure that Malaysians are not adversely affected by the rise in oil prices.

The Ministry adds assistance will be for the B40 group, that is Malaysian households earning 3,900 ringgit a month or less and the M40 segment that is households with income ranging from 3,860 to 8,319 ringgit.

It adds, the current situation is under control but it will continue to monitor the situation and ensure that these group will not be affected by the oil prices.
