EPF contributors need to be wary of syndicates

EPF contributors are advised to be wary of syndicates, attempting to dupe them into withdrawing money from their savings.

Islamic finance consultant Dr Zaharuddin Abdul Rahman says these syndicates are getting smarter, and have resorted to using fake agreements to convince contributors to use their savings for dubious investment schemes. 

He adds that people need to better educate themselves on financial management to avoid falling victim to such scams. 

He also encouraged the public to get second or even third opinions before investing their EPF savings.
