2-year-old dies of diphteria in Sarawak

A two-year-old boy has died of diphtheria in Miri, Sarawak.

According to the Health Ministry, the toddler had not been vaccinated since he was born.

It adds that 32 cases of diphtheria were reported last year, resulting in seven deaths.

The ministry also stressed that children between the ages of two and five must be vaccinated against the disease, as it has a high fatality rate
