CAP calls for Penang Consumers Association calls for ban on hazardous novelty toys

Feb 10, 2018

The Penang Consumers Association wants the government to immediately seize and ban all hazardous novelty toys that are on sale in the market.

This, after it was learnt that there is a toy being sold, that looks like chewing gum, but is capable of giving a sharp electric shock.

The Association wants the authorities to determine how the product was able to be brought into the country.

It has also urged the Health ministry to study the impact on a person’s health when exposed to such toys.
