Maconas wants improper dishwashing restaurant shut down

A consumer group wants authorities to permanently shut down a banana leaf restaurant in Bangsar, after its workers were caught cleaning dishes in a puddle of water.

The Malaysian Consumer Association, Maconas says issuing a temporary closure is not enough as it will not deter irresponsible outlet operators. 

The restaurant's owner has already apologised, and blamed the viral incident on new staff.
