1MDB task force in talks with US FBI and DOJ

The 1MDB Special Task Force has met with the FBI and the US Department of Justice, to discuss the ongoing probe into the investment fund. 

Besides agreeing to give their full cooperation to the investigation, they also talked about the process of bringing back the 1MDB-linked assets currently frozen in the US.

Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry is warning that Treasury officials who cannot justify their handling of the 1MDB issue, could face the sack. 

This, amid questions about what action will be taken against Treasury officials, who were allegedly complicit in bailing out 1MDB from its debt obligations.
