Luxury items seized from Najib's residences to be sold

Jun 29, 2018

The government is planning to sell all of the luxury items seized from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's residences.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says the sales will be used to help settle the country's debt.

Police had earlier confirmed they seized over a billion ringgit worth of jewellery, handbags, watches, sunglasses and even tiaras last month.

This is only a small step in settling the country's 1 trillion ringgit debt, and Guan Eng says the debt may only be fully paid off in 2039.
