Jamal Yunos returns at last

Jul 05, 2018

Fugitive UMNO leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos is back in Malaysian police custody, after more than a month on the run.

He arrived at the KLIA earlier today after being deported from Indonesia, days after he was picked up in Jakarta.

The UMNO leader's lawyer claims Jamal is ready to "face the music" over his actions.

Besides several police investigations, Jamal is also expected to face charges under the Immigration Act for leaving the country illegally.

He is also under MACC probe.

The Sungai Besar UMNO division chief was first detained in late May, but escaped from custody before his bail process was completed.
