Former Prime Minister to be Charged Tomorrow

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has been arrested over investigations into SRC International and will be charged in court in KL tomorrow at 8.30am.

The former Prime Minister was arrested at his residence in Langgak Duta, KL today by the special task force set up to investigate the 1MDB scandal. Back in December 2015, the former premier had his statement taken over the SRC International case, and the RM2.6 billion ringgit donation. 

Meanwhile, the MACC has just concluded questioning UMNO President Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, after two days of grilling.

He was questioned over the Akal Budi Foundation account. He admits there was a breach of SOP when funds from the account was used to pay his credit card bills, but says he settled the payment in 2016.

Riza Aziz, anak tiri bekas PM DS Najib Razak, tiba di ibu pejabat Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) 1.30pm tadi.

Others questioned by the MACC include Najib’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, her son, Riza Aziz, and former FELDA Chairman, Tan Sri Shahrir Samad.
