Goverment to draft bill on gender equality

The government is drafting new gender equality laws, to balance the role of men and women in the country's development. 

The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry says the legislation will, among others, tackle issues such as a lack of women in leadership roles, stereotyping and unequal pay.

The ministry is still consulting with various stakeholders on the draft bill, to make sure that all views were being taken into account.
