Apr 03, 2018
New laws are being drawn up to better protect Malaysia's rivers.
The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry says existing laws on river protection, are no longer relevant for current use.
The ministry adds, it also plans to introduce an environmental education syllabus in stages in primary and secondary schools, to raise awareness among students on the importance of taking care of our rivers.
