Majlis Amanah Rakyat or MARA says it will continue with its Study Loan scheme, for students who lack the means to pursue their studies overseas.

Officials say MARA has received an allocation of 2 billion ringgit to finance the studies of some 65 thousand students both locally and abroad this year.
Students, however, have to meet strict guidelines to qualify, including coming from the low-income group, and attaining excellent SPM results.

They say a recent one-hour operation in the area found that 80 out of 112 foreign drivers who were stopped, did not have a valid license.

And, Indonesian search and rescue teams are still trying to locate the main wreckage and flight data recorders of the Lion Air plane that crashed on Monday.
