The Education Ministry is looking into providing a free healthy breakfast for school students from the low income group.
Minister, Dr Maszlee Malik says he was inspired by similar schemes at schools in Japan, where he is on a three-day working visit along with the Prime Minister.

He also says his ministry plans to instill a culture of cleanliness and discipline among students right from kindergarten-age, like what schools in Japan are doing.

Meanwhile, Japan's government has agreed to start talks to open up Japanese university branches in Malaysia.
This, after PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad urged these unis to set up campuses here, to enable our students to be exposed to Japan's education system and culture.

And a 2018 price comparison study shows that Malaysia has the third cheapest broadband internet packages in ASEAN, behind Myanmar and leaders Thailand.
